Mini Apple Design is a web design and technology consulting company focusing on non-profits and small businesses. We offer design packages, web hosting, needs assessments, and technology troubleshooting. Think of us as your own personal IT department.
FOUNDER
Eric Stiens has a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on community development and organizing. He has also been designing websites and managing the technology needs of non-profits since the mid-1990s. He strongly believes that technology-done-right can not only be an effective outreach and fundraising tool for non-profits, but can be forces for good in their own right.

If your project is too large for one person or requires large amounts of custom graphic design or large coding requirements, I have relationships with a variety of contractors experienced in non-profit web development, graphic design, back-end development, etc.

PHILOSOPHY
Effective technology is usable by everyone. A website that never gets updated or an internal shared calendar that half of your staff doesn’t know how to use is not effective. Simplicity can be the most important feature of all. Computer technology should help you accomplish your core mission, not simply be there for the sake of being there.
We support open source technology and seek to encourage the use of FLOSS software.
We support the declarations of the People’s Movement Assembly focused on technology at the US Social Forum.
